Dr. Rice completed her undergraduate studies at David Lipscomb University and received her dental degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Dentistry. She opened her practice in the Fall of 1986. Dr. Rice is a member of the Tennessee Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry and has completed extensive course work in cosmetic dentistry and the management of occlusion related to TMJ. Her interests include music and theater. She and her husband Jeff live in Williamson County with their children, Haley, Hunter, and Hope. Our Coordinators and Receptionist   Kaye Burton, Office Manager, was part of the opening of Dr. Rice’s practice in 1986. After a brief move away from the Nashville area, she returned in 1995 to resume her position. Her skills take her from the front desk to behind the scenes where she focuses on success for both patients and staff. Kaye is married to Randy and is the mother of three boys. She enjoys tennis and reading. Rhonda Atkins, Financial Coordinator, is a Tennessee  native.  She joined Dr. Rice's office in 2005 and brought with her over 15 years of administrative experience -- much of it in the legal profession. She coordinates insurance benefits and financial arrangements for patients.  Rhonda devotes much attention to her dog, her family, and the Titans.    Amber Moseley, Scheduling Coordinator, works to make your appointments convenient and keeping schedules running on time.  She is the mother of one daughter, Sarah.   Amber was born in Lebanon and reared in Antioch. Wanda Gardner is our Receptionist, and originally from Paris, Tennessee.  Whether she’s bringing you coffee or confirming your appointment, you know she’s there to be helpful.  She and her husband, Robert, live in Nashville with their three children.   Hobbies include cake decorating and cartoon animation.  She is also a talented singer. Myrna Martin is our Media Specialist.  She is responsible for many day-to-day tasks that keep our office running smoothly.   Our Dental Hygienists Our hygienists are responsible for cleaning your teeth. They will customize your cleaning to help best meet your individual needs and show you ways to maintain optimum oral health.   Elaine Jonas has practiced dental hygiene since 1979 and has been with Dr. Rice since 1995. Her interests include watching movies, reading, and long walks with her husband, Dave. Janeane Kinnaman has been a dental hygienist for 26 years.  She has a wonderful and witty husband, and a 14-year old son.  Janeane enjoys reading, cooking, camping and fishing; but her passion is watching her son play sports!     Our Dental Assistants Our dental assistants sit chair-side with their dentist, keep materials and instruments ready, and provide comfort to our patients in every way possible.   Jennifer Livingston comes to us from a dental office in Atlanta. She grew up in Knoxville where she graduated from UT with a BA in sociology and also met her husband. She is currently studying at TSU to be a dental hygienist. In her spare time, Jennifer handles Public Relations for Dr. Rice. Lauren Salhany joined the practice as a scheduler but soon demonstrated her talents in dental assisting. This versatile Tennessee girl is making plans for her wedding in June. One of her favorite hobbies is taking care of her animals. Christine Smallwood is a Ohio native (she has a hard time belieiving we will have snow) and joined our team in the summer of 2005.  She specializes in processing new patients.  A Franklin resident, Christine enjoys sports and she loves to read and ride horseback with her husband, Robert.
